Abstract

The art and art forms defines the culture of specific group, Chinese civilization, with over 5,000 years of history, has continuously merged with diverse cultures, with Chinese characters representing its deep cultural heritage. Chinese calligraphy, a writing art using Chinese characters, has evolved with the development of Chinese character fonts, incorporating the wisdom, philosophy, humanistic spirit, and artistic aesthetics of the Chinese people. The research aims to address challenges in Chinese calligraphy, the proposed approach aims to enhance the engagement of new generations and expand the appeal of Chinese calligraphy through the incorporation of Zen and Chinese minimalism in the research. Data collection through questionnaires is crucial for understanding, and hypotheses are developed to understand how Chinese calligraphy can evolve to meet the needs of the evolving environment. The research results in a sustainable dynamic future for Chinese calligraphy, making it more dynamic and accessible in the modern context. The suggested approach promotes the art's global awareness and strengthens Chinese calligraphy's viability as a flexible art form.
